AWS Solutions Architect Manager, Transport

As a Technical Manager, you lead a Solutions Architecture team focused on UK Public Sector Transport and Central Government customers. You hire, develop and coach architects, guiding them in cloud adoption and technical depth while sharpening their communication and strategic advisory skills. You’ll partner with account teams and service groups to drive adoption, influence strategy, and create impactful reference architectures. You will build strong customer relationships, deliver on a credibility-grounded technical agenda, and help scale AWS usage across the sector. This role combines leadership, technical credibility, and a passion for enabling customers to realize the art of the possible.

• Hire, onboard, and continuously develop Solutions Architects and Solutions Architecture Managers
• Coach architects to run technical sessions for diverse customers and transfer skills
• Partner with account teams to execute a customer-focused adoption strategy
• Provide thought leadership through public speaking, workshops, and written content
• Develop and own senior-level technical customer relationships
• Own the technical strategy to increase customer value and AWS adoption across UK Transport and Central Government
• Act as conduit between customers, service engineering, partners, professional services and support

• Experience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals in customer-facing roles
• Experience in cloud architecture and CXO level engagement
• Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps for IT transformations to the cloud
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
• Eligible and willing to undergo government security vetting to SC level
