Abbeal seeks a BI data engineer or analyst for a financial institution’s Azure platform. The data team evolves infrastructure through Power BI reporting using Medallion architecture. This freelance contract combines pipeline engineering, governance, technical specifications, and internal knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design ETL and ELT pipelines in Azure Synapse
• Maintain data pipelines across the Azure platform
• Ensure data quality, security, and governance
• Gather requirements and write technical specifications
• Transfer knowledge to internal teams

Requirements:

• Experience with PySpark, Spark, and R
• Terraform experience with Azure providers
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps and YAML CI/CD
• Power BI Desktop and Power Query experience
• Clear, patient, and meticulous communication
