Azure Cloud Platform Lead

My client are looking to make the jump from Azure cloud infrastructure back to a predominantly on-prem based infrastructure. You will help lead in the new build of datacentres, new BC/DR, Capability and Resilience solutions, building a secure Network and setup of a new virtual (hypervisors) environment.

This exciting role will also offer the successful candidate the chance to build their own team.

• You will act as the firm’s senior technical specialist and provide expert technical leadership across some of our most critical technology services.
• Reporting to the Infrastructure & Cyber Security Manager, you’ll combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic thinking to shape our platforms, manage risk and ensure our infrastructure continues to meet the evolving needs of the firm.
• You’ll cover On-prem Hypervisors, Azure, Secure Networking, BC/DR, Datacentre builds and Team Leadership.

Skills Required

• Hands-on technical experience in a senior infrastructure role.
• Team leadership experience managing a small team of engineers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with new datacentre builds and virtual environments.
• A solid understanding of the following; Hyper-V/VMWare, BC/DR, MS Azure, ZTNA, SSE, Firewalls, M365 and Storage solutions.

This role offers hybrid working - 2 days WFH weekly.
