Azure Databricks BI Architect

Azure Databricks and Spark SQL define this BI Architect opportunity supporting modernized Guidewire reporting. Build cloud-native analytics across Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

This experienced BI Architect will lead migration from Actuate BIRT to the client’s target analytics platform. The work includes Python, SQL, data pipelines, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI. You will translate legacy reporting logic into certified Gold Data Products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modernize Guidewire reports from Actuate BIRT to Databricks
• Design pipelines using Databricks Asset Bundles and Python Wheels
• Convert Oracle SQL into optimized Spark SQL implementations
• Develop Fabric Lakehouse, OneLake Shortcuts, and Semantic Models
• Support testing, validation, deployment, and reporting accuracy

Requirements:

• Strong Azure Databricks, Spark SQL, and cloud engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python and SQL development
• Experience designing modern ETL and ELT pipelines
• Microsoft Fabric and Power BI experience
• Understanding of data modeling, governance, and analytics architecture
