Lead Azure Databricks architecture and PySpark modernization for an enterprise migration from Google BigQuery and GCP. Shape a strategic Lakehouse transformation program.

This experienced Data Architect role defines target-state architecture and migration strategy for enterprise data platforms. You will guide Medallion Architecture, Delta Lake solutions, governance, and scalable analytics platforms. Collaboration spans business, engineering, and program teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define Azure Databricks Lakehouse architecture and migration roadmap
  • Design Medallion Architecture and Delta Lake solutions
  • Lead BigQuery-to-Databricks source-to-target mapping
  • Establish governance, security, and data management standards
  • Architect scalable models, ingestion frameworks, and analytics platforms

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse Architecture
  • Proficiency in PySpark and SQL
  • Strong data modeling, migration, and modernization background
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory and ADLS Gen2
  • 15+ years in Data and Analytics; 5+ architecture years
