Azure Migration Engineer

In this role you will lead the design and deployment of a new Microsoft Azure environment, delivering a secure and well-structured cloud platform. You will work closely with security stakeholders to ensure governance, compliance, and best practices are embedded from the ground up. You will tackle deployment challenges, implement IaC where appropriate, and document architecture and operations for a smooth handover. This is a hands-on, end-to-end migration and environment building role that supports the organization’s cloud strategy. You will contribute to secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that enables cross-functional teams to operate confidently.

• Design and deploy Azure environment end-to-end
• Configure subscriptions, resource groups, networking and core services
• Implement identity, RBAC, PIM and security controls
• Apply Azure policies and align with best practices
• Ensure secure and consistent resource deployments
• Collaborate with security stakeholders to meet standards
• Troubleshoot deployment and configuration issues
• Utilize PowerShell, Azure CLI and Infrastructure as Code where relevant
• Produce technical documentation on architecture, configuration, security and operations
• Provide knowledge transfer and handover to the internal IT team

• Strong IT/cloud infrastructure experience
• Hands-on Microsoft Azure expertise
• Proven experience deploying Azure environments from the ground up
• Knowledge of Azure security, Entra ID, RBAC and PIM
• Understanding of Azure networking, governance and resource management
• Experience with Azure Policy and security best practices
• Scripting/automation with PowerShell and/or Azure CLI
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates (advantageous)
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Independent worker with ownership and ability to meet deadlines
