Azure Observability Engineer Toronto

Azure observability expertise meets hybrid work in Downtown Toronto for an engineer skilled in monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.

This full-time or subcontract opportunity requires five to eight years of experience supporting Azure infrastructure and Databricks data pipelines. The engineer will use Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, KQL, Terraform, and Python. The work includes building centralized dashboards, alert rules, and automated failure notifications for operational visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for Azure infrastructure
• Monitor Databricks data pipelines and automate job-failure notifications
• Develop centralized monitoring dashboards and alert rules
• Integrate monitoring with ServiceNow for automated incident creation
• Build reusable Terraform modules and Python observability scripts

Requirements:

• Five to eight years of relevant experience
• Expertise in Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
• Experience with Application Insights, KQL, and Terraform
• Experience with Azure DevOps, REST APIs, and webhooks
• Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or automated remediation experience is beneficial
