Azure Technical Consultant

My client is looking for an experienced Azure Technical Consultant to join a growing technology team delivering cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions for customers across a range of sectors.

This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll be involved in designing, deploying, migrating and supporting Azure environments, working closely with customers and internal technical teams.

What you’ll be doing

• Design and deliver Microsoft Azure infrastructure solutions
• Deploy and configure Azure compute, storage and PaaS services
• Design and troubleshoot Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN, Bastion and ExpressRoute
• Support on premises to Azure migrations and hybrid environments
• Implement Azure Backup and Site Recovery
• Configure Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC and privileged access controls
• Implement Azure governance and security, including Azure Policy, Management Groups and tagging
• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using PowerShell
• Build infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform or Bicep
• Participate in customer workshops, discovery sessions and technical meetings

What are we looking for?

• Experience delivering Azure infrastructure and cloud-focused projects.
• Good understanding of Azure networking, including VPN, ExpressRoute and Virtual
• Networks.
• Knowledge of Azure security services, including Defender, Entra ID, RBAC and PIM.
• Experience working with Azure compute, storage and platform services.
• Awareness of Infrastructure as Code methodologies using Terraform, Bicep or similar tools.
• Experience using PowerShell and automation technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across Azure and hybrid environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical
• stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a wider consultancy team.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
