Back End Developer

I'm working with a global engineering business looking for a server-side engineer to own the API layer behind consumer mobile apps used by millions of people worldwide. If you like your backend work to have a visible, real-world impact, this is a good one.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing and building the Backend-for-Frontend API layer that powers large-scale mobile apps
• Delivering fast, secure REST and GraphQL APIs for real-time consumer experiences
• Working side by side with mobile, product and design engineers to shape solutions
• Tuning performance and scalability across distributed systems

What they're looking for:

• Solid server-side experience in Kotlin (or Java/Scala)
• Hands-on REST and GraphQL API design
• Gradle, CI/CD and automated testing
• Strong grip on asynchronous programming and performance optimisation
