Overview

As a Mid-Level Back End Engineer at FundApps, you’ll help deliver scalable software that processes trillions in assets daily. You’ll own parts of our mission-critical backend, work closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to architecture and delivery at pace with a sustainability mindset. You’ll operate in a fast-growing, hybrid environment where ownership and continuous improvement are valued. This role blends hands-on coding with shaping the evolution of a cloud-native, distributed system that powers major investment managers. Responsibilities
  • Own and alongside the team deliver solutions within your scope from ideation to production
  • Contribute to architecture and design decisions to support scalable backend systems
  • Write clean, maintainable code in C#, Java or Python and participate in code reviews
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and wider company to align on problems and deliver value
  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices
  • Drive 1% improvements in code, processes, and practices across the team
  • Operate in a Kanban/DevOps-inspired workflow with a focus on reducing unnecessary meetings
  • Embrace uncertainty and evolving requirements while maintaining high standards
  • Mentor and share knowledge with teammates when needed
  • Help automate manual tasks and optimise workflows
Key requirements
  • Mid-level engineer with generalist product development knowledge and agile practices
  • Proficient in C#, Java or Python
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in ambiguous, evolving requirements environments
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback and challenging for the sake of better solutions
  • Strong collaboration skills with Engineering, Product, and broader company
  • Willingness to adapt to change and take ownership from Day 1
