Back Office Settlements Specialist

Manage equities and fixed income settlements for Crédit Agricole CIB in hybrid Montreal work, supporting trading operations across North American markets.

This Extended Back Office Associate role requires three-plus years in settlements or trade support. You will handle equities, convertible bonds, fixed income products, repos, securities lending, and settlement workflows. The position supports Paris operations during New York business hours and coordinates with front office, middle office, custodians, clients, counterparties, and agent banks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor equity, convertible bond, and issuance settlements
• Verify settlement instructions and transaction integration
• Investigate failed trades, breaks, and processing issues
• Manage collateral, suspense items, and payment defaults
• Process invoices, reconciliations, and identified discrepancies

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification
• Three-plus years in back office settlements or trade support
• Experience with equities and fixed income products
• Knowledge of securities processing, payments, and regulatory requirements
• English and French communication skills required
