Overview

In this role you will help build and improve the technology powering small and medium-sized businesses across Europe. You’ll work with experienced engineers on cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain core systems involved in payments processing, core banking, and merchant lifecycle management. Your work supports merchants’ success while you learn and grow in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You’ll contribute to reliable, scalable software and participate in continuous improvement across the engineering lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain and test code to meet business needs with reliability and performance
  • Own features and small projects from design to deployment with guidance from seniors
  • Collaborate with product, design and operations to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Build tools and integrate systems to improve operational efficiency and product effectiveness
  • Participate in code reviews and provide/receive feedback to improve quality
  • Learn and apply new technologies with support from senior engineers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues
  • Contribute to process improvements for code quality, testing, and development workflows
  • Document technical decisions for technical and non-technical stakeholders
Key requirements
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in Java or Kotlin (experience with multiple languages is a plus)
  • Familiarity with OOP, data structures, and algorithms
  • Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases
  • Understanding of Git and version control
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team and independently
