Overview

In this Backend Engineer role, you will build scalable, reliable systems and APIs powering our customer-facing products, internal data platforms, and e-commerce capabilities. You will design extensible architectures to quickly launch new products and integrate with third-party services. You’ll own your work end-to-end, from scoping and design to deployment and operations, in a fast-growing healthtech environment. This hybrid, office-present role lets you contribute to a mission that improves patients’ lives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop scalable and reliable backend systems
  • Build core functionality for customer-facing and internal products and data platforms
  • Design extensible architectures to enable rapid product launches
  • Integrate with third-party systems
  • Develop APIs for web and mobile platforms
  • Own end-to-end delivery from planning to production operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impact
Key requirements
  • Experience building web backends in Node.js/Typescript or willingness to learn on the job
  • Familiarity with scalable cloud architectures, design patterns and best practices
  • Practical experience with CI/CD and IaC
  • Experience with relational databases and search engines
  • Experience with TDD and testable code (unit, integration, performance)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to zoom in on details while aligning with big-picture goals
  • Hybrid role requiring in-office presence 3 days per week
