We are hiring: Backend Engineer - Python & Generative AI

Location: Sheffield- Hybrid- Weekly 3 days in-office.

  • Strong commercial experience developing Python backend applications, RESTful APIs and scalable distributed systems , using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask or Django.
  • Hands-on experience building Generative AI solutions , including LLM integrations, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering and AI agent workflows.
  • Good understanding of embeddings, vector databases, relational and NoSQL databases , data modelling and API integrations.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, containerisation, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and secure software development practices .
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with experience in production support, monitoring, debugging and AI evaluation. Frontend experience with React and TypeScript is desirable.
