Backend Infrastructure Software Developer

Build backend infrastructure at Google in Waterloo, Ontario, using cloud systems management and debugging skills. This position includes in-person interviews.

As a Software Developer III, you will develop code for infrastructure supporting Google’s products at massive scale. You will work with backend engineering, cloud monitoring, logging, and tracing while addressing technical issues. The Core team builds central solutions, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure across Google.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write product or system development code
• Triage and resolve product or system issues
• Analyze impacts on hardware, networks, and service operations
• Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders
• Review developer code for quality and efficiency

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Two years of backend software development experience
• Experience managing and debugging cloud systems
• Experience with monitoring, logging, or tracing
• English proficiency required for this role
