In this Backend Software Engineer role, you will design and maintain Golang microservices powering financial products at Lloyds. Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Golang backend services and microservices architectures
  • Collaborate with product, engineering and business stakeholders to deliver solutions
  • Contribute to system design, architecture, and engineering best practices
  • Support deployment, operation and performance of applications in containerised environments
  • Enable integrations with leading applications and services and deliver scalable, resilient systems
  • Participate in data-driven feature work and improvements across the stack
Key requirements
  • Strong commercial experience Backend development in Golang
  • Experience building and supporting microservices architectures
  • Experience deploying and operating in containerised environments (ideally Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience in agile development environments
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across the application stack (network, server, database)
  • Experience building concurrent, distributed applications at scale
  • Experience working with DevOps or SRE teams to support production environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
