BackEnd Software Engineer

In this backend role, you will design and build the software platform enabling new experiences and growth for Ksubaka’s in-store gamified advertising network. You’ll join a tight engineering team in London, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions using state-of-the-art tools. You will collaborate across disciplines to deploy and maintain robust software, driving continuous improvement and innovation. • Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Produce designs and determine operational feasibility
• Integrate software components into a fully functional system
• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics
• Update knowledge by studying new tools and techniques, participating in networks

• Proven working experience in software engineering
• BSc in Computer Science or Engineering (MSc preferred)
• Experience with test-driven development and behavioural driven development
• Ability to develop in Java
• Experience of functional programming languages
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate). Prior experience of NoSQL solutions
• Mastery in software engineering tools
• Ability to document requirements and designs
• Familiarity with agile software development methodology and release process
• Experience working in international environments
• Ability to adapt communication for technical and non-technical people
