Backend Software Engineer C# .NET

Build mission-critical backend systems with C# and .NET at OpenTable, working hybrid from the Toronto office two days weekly. Support real-time reservation technology.

As a Software Engineer II, you will design and implement services for inventory, availability, and reservation flows. The TMS Inventory team owns complex distributed systems where reliability and correctness are paramount. You will work with Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, and GitHub across the software lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design backend features supporting inventory and reservation flows
• Implement services for real-time availability calculations
• Test, deploy, monitor, and operate production services
• Debug issues using logs, metrics, traces, and dashboards
• Participate in reviews, discussions, and design documentation

Requirements:

• Professional experience developing with C# and .NET
• Experience working with complex backend systems
• Understanding of Kubernetes, Helm, and TeamCity CI/CD
• Familiarity with Kafka event-driven architecture
• Experience with Redis, MongoDB, and GitHub
