Overview
In this role you will contribute to a global, public-facing web/cloud platform by designing, building and maintaining scalable backend services. You will join cross-functional teams to shape architecture and deliver robust systems that power engineering communities worldwide. You’ll tackle complex workflows and data-heavy processes while partnering with engineers and non-technical stakeholders. This is an onsite position in Cambridge with a strong emphasis on impact, collaboration, and ownership.
Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain scalable web services
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams to align on architecture and delivery
- Contribute to system integration and reliability across platforms
- Translate business requirements into robust backend components and data models
- Participate in code reviews and technical decision making
- Support and optimize cloud-based backend services and deployment pipelines
- 5+ years in web service development and system integration
- Knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns for web services
- Experience with relational databases
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Clear communication with engineers and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong product ownership mindset
