Backend Software Engineer Lime Canada

Build scalable backend systems for Lime’s connected vehicles as a remote Software Engineer based in Canada, using data and strong architecture skills.

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will create technology supporting electric vehicles, location and asset data analysis, experimentation, and Lime’s internal messaging platform. The work calls for maintainable code, sound technical reasoning, and effective collaboration with engineers, data scientists, designers, product managers, research, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solve strategically essential technical problems across foundational platforms
• Build scalable, efficient software powering electric vehicles
• Analyze location and asset data for backend systems
• Participate in cross-functional collaboration across Lime teams
• Respond to incidents and improve service reliability during on-call shifts

Requirements:

• At least one year of professional software development experience
• Experience building impactful products or systems
• Ability to write logical, maintainable code
• Technical proficiency understanding project design and implementation
• Experience with data infrastructure, Ruby, or Go preferred
