Backend Software Engineer Trust Systems

Build secure backend services and APIs at Remitly, using AWS and modern software practices. Work onsite Tuesday through Thursday under current hybrid expectations.

As a Software Development Engineer II on the Trust Experience team, you will support systems managing customer verification evidence. You will design, test, deploy, and maintain services for onboarding and regulatory needs. The work includes databases, third-party verification integrations, and sensitive customer data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design modular backend services and APIs
• Own features through production support
• Implement secure data access patterns
• Integrate identity and document-verification vendors
• Improve testing, deployment, logging, and monitoring

Requirements:

• Three or more years of software development experience
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, Go, or Python
• Proficiency in ReactJS or Vue
• Experience operating production services on AWS
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD environments
