Banker Support Analyst (Loan Transaction Coordination)

Location: Montreal, QC, Canada

We are seeking a Banker Support Analyst to join a leading global financial institution's Corporate Banking team. This role will support corporate banking transactions, client data maintenance, credit-related activities, and operational processes within the Credit & Portfolio Management organization.

Position Overview

The Loan Transaction Coordination team serves corporate banking platforms across the Americas and focuses on:

  • Supporting transaction execution and client servicing activities.
  • Maintaining data integrity across internal banking systems.
  • Managing operational, regulatory, compliance, and credit risk controls.
  • Supporting complex corporate banking transactions and data management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

New Deal Support

  • Create and maintain client groups and legal entity structures.
  • Attach/detach legal entities within banking platforms.
  • Update client coverage and relationship manager assignments.
  • Review newly opened accounts and identify data quality issues.
  • Investigate and remediate data discrepancies and system feed breaks.

Ongoing Deal Maintenance

  • Process updates through internal banking systems to maintain accurate client records.
  • Manage changes related to:
  • Legal entity names
  • Client coverage assignments
  • Mergers & acquisitions
  • Organizational restructures
  • Duplicate entity remediation
  • Support economic dependency linking between legal entities and business groups.
  • Respond to inquiries related to:
  • Credit lines
  • Regulatory status
  • Outstanding balances
  • Fees
  • Risk and transactional data requests

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support data collection and special projects.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Participate in initiatives that strengthen controls, processes, and data quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience within:
  • Commercial Banking
  • Credit Operations
  • Loan Operations
  • Knowledge of Corporate Credit processes and banking products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
