Overview
As the BI Developer, you’ll turn data into actionable insights to help Pet Drugs Online thrive. You’ll design and maintain dashboards in Power BI, partner with stakeholders across the business, and contribute to the data warehouse rebuild. You’ll ensure reliable data pipelines and performance-optimised reports that support decision-making. This role sits at the intersection of data, analytics, and business impact, in a fast-growing ecommerce veterinary context.
Responsibilities- Design and develop engaging dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Transform complex data into clear insights to support performance
- Write and optimise SQL queries, views, and datasets for reporting
- Build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion and transformation
- Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
- Troubleshoot data lifecycle issues from source systems to front-end reporting
- Monitor and improve report, dataset, and query performance
- Support BI governance, documentation, and best practices for a scalable reporting environment
- Contribute to the evolution of data and analytics capabilities
- Strong commercial experience with Power BI and Power BI Service (dataflows, apps, gateway)
- Experience designing and optimising data models within Power BI
- Advanced SQL skills for complex queries and large datasets
- Understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, dimensional modelling, data transformation
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory or SSIS
- Experience delivering end-to-end BI solutions from requirements to deployment
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
