BI Platform Operations Engineer

Support Tableau Server and Amazon QuickSight reliability as a BI Platform Operations Engineer in Toronto or New York City, working hybrid onsite four days weekly.

Adastra seeks a hands-on engineer for contractor production support across enterprise BI platforms and AWS services. You will administer Tableau Server and QuickSight, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with engineering, application, data, and infrastructure teams. The work also includes APIs, data services, cloud infrastructure, and operational automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide production support for Tableau Server, QuickSight, and AWS services
• Monitor availability, performance, capacity, workloads, and service health
• Investigate incidents, failed jobs, connectivity, access, and API issues
• Administer users, permissions, projects, content, datasets, and dashboards
• Maintain runbooks, documentation, monitoring, and operational improvements

Requirements:

• Hands-on enterprise BI platform production support experience
• Strong Tableau Server administration and operational support experience
• Strong Amazon QuickSight administration, authoring, and production support experience
• Experience with Athena, AWS Glue, Lake Formation, IAM, and CloudWatch
• Python, PowerShell, Bash, AWS CLI, or similar automation experience
