BI & Reporting Team Lead

As Reporting Services Team Lead, you will steer a team of about seven developers across the UK and India to deliver accurate, reliable reporting for iSAMS and Ed. You will set technical standards and guide reporting design using SSRS, SQL/T-SQL, and Power BI, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success. You’ll drive improvements to reporting tools, processes, and ways of working while ensuring high-quality outputs. • Lead and develop the Reporting Services team, setting clear objectives and supporting growth
• Manage workloads, priorities and delivery timelines
• Oversee design and delivery of reports and analytics for iSAMS and Ed
• Set and maintain technical standards across SSRS, SQL, Power BI and reporting development
• Provide technical guidance on SQL/T-SQL, report development, data modelling and troubleshooting
• Act as escalation point for complex reporting, data and customer issues
• Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities
• Ensure reporting solutions are accurate, consistent and high quality
• Identify and lead improvements to reporting tools, processes and ways of working
• Encourage knowledge sharing and continuous development across the team
• Represent Reporting Services in stakeholder meetings and wider initiatives

• Hands-on experience creating reports with SSRS
• Strong SQL/T-SQL skills including complex queries
• Experience using Power BI
• Experience leading, managing or mentoring people in reporting, BI, data or related areas
• Understanding of data modelling, reporting and analytics
• Experience investigating and resolving complex reporting or data issues
• Technical confidence to guide and support other developers
• Experience managing workloads and deadlines
• Experience gathering requirements and translating to reporting solutions
• Experience working with customers, Product teams or stakeholders
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Good organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
• No prior experience with iSAMS/Ed or the education sector required otherwise unknown
