Overview

In this role you will provide specialist blast design and support within the Building Engineering Division, collaborating with security and structural teams to deliver protective design solutions. You will lead blast protection design, including CFD modelling and complex structural analysis, while overseeing project delivery and quality. You will engage clients and stakeholders, contribute to business development, and perform risk assessments. This position offers an opportunity to shape safety-focused infrastructure across diverse markets within a global engineering leader.

Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder engagement and data gathering
  • Technical leadership in blast & protection engineering; CFD modelling and structural analysis
  • Oversee project delivery, workload management, and quality assurance
  • Develop employer’s requirements, specifications, and schemes
  • Tender management, risk assessment, and contract administration where applicable
  • Client-facing presentations, sales support, and communications
  • Mentorship and knowledge sharing on SH&E best practices
  • Project management and progress reporting
Key requirements
  • Security with in-depth blast analysis and design
  • Blast modelling and CFD expertise
  • Proficiency with ANSYS, AutoDyn or similar software
  • Understanding of physical security solutions and performance standards
  • Experience in threat reduction and vulnerability analyses; façade and glass evaluation
  • Excellent documentation and writing skills; solid project management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to hold or obtain Security Clearance
