As Blast Associate Technical Lead, you will deliver cutting-edge blast protection solutions within AECOM’s Building Engineering Division in the UK. You will lead technical input on blast and protection engineering, coordinating with security and structural teams on diverse projects from offices to critical facilities. You’ll drive CFD modelling, complex structural analyses and design development, while overseeing project delivery, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement. This role offers a chance to shape safer buildings and infrastructure through innovative, cost-conscious protection strategies.

- Proficiency with ANSYS, AutoDyn or similar for 3D FEM and FSI
- Understanding of physical security solutions and performance standards
- Experience in threat reduction, structural vulnerability analyses, façade and glass evaluation, high-speed impact analysis, and fire effects on structures
- Excellent document writing and attention to detail
- Solid project management capabilities
- Strong technical and design skills in structural design and security assessment
- Good numerical and analytical abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholders
