Responsibilities
  • Provide expert input on blast and protection engineering and lead blast protection design
  • Perform CFD modelling and complex structural analysis of blast effects
  • Oversee project production, plan tasks, and ensure quality and technical assurance
  • Engage with clients and sector leads to understand goals and formulate solutions
  • Support business development, including sales and work winning
  • Assess threats, likelihood, and consequences to determine risk treatments
  • Produce employer’s requirements, specifications, feasibility studies, and concept designs
  • Manage projects, provide progress updates and contract administration where applicable
  • Promote SH&E best practices and share knowledge within the team
Key requirements
  • Broad security knowledge with deep blast analysis and design expertise
  • Ability to translate operational/strategic requirements into design basis
  • Experience in blast modelling and CFD for wave-structure interaction
  • Proficiency with ANSYS, AutoDyn, or similar for 3D FEM and FSI
  • Understanding of physical security solutions and performance standards
  • Experience in threat reduction, vulnerability analyses, façade/glass evaluation, impact analysis, and fire effects on structures
  • Strong writing, attention to detail, and project management capabilities
  • Strong communication skills with senior and diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in IT and self-motivation
  • Eligibility to hold or obtain Security Clearance
