In this role you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of building management systems across diverse projects. You’ll work with clients, architects, M&E teams, and contractors to ensure systems meet requirements and sustainability goals. You’ll manage complex, national projects from feasibility to commissioning and provide clear reporting and training. You’ll drive innovation in smart building technologies while mentoring the BMS team and promoting SH&E best practices. - Lead design and oversight of BMS system implementation to meet client needs, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels to build relationships and provide expert advisory
- Manage complex projects from feasibility through tender, cost analysis, and progress reporting
- Conduct system surveys, assessments, FAT/SAT testing, and provide clear reports and training to optimize performance
- Drive business development, mentor the BMS team, and contribute to innovation in smart building technologies
- Promote SH&E best practices and ensure compliance while solving technical challenges
- Support integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems using open communication standards and BMS technologies (Trend, Tridium, Niagara)
- Occasionally travel nationally to project sites and offices with flexible hybrid working arrangements
- Strong technical expertise in BMS and mechanical/electrical systems, with experience in control systems, commissioning, and smart building tech
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects nationally, handle workload, finances, and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with clients, architects, M&E contractors, and senior stakeholders
- Knowledge of open communication standards, BMS trends, and innovative smart building solutions
- Chartered status or working toward it, with security clearance (or willingness to obtain)
