The Role: Bookkeeper

As the Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the full Accounts Receivable process, including invoicing, cash receipts, collections, and customer account maintenance
• Preparing customer invoices and monthly statements
• Monitoring outstanding receivables and following up on overdue accounts
• Performing daily bank monitoring and monthly bank reconciliations
• Preparing journal entries and reconciling sub-ledgers to the general ledger
• Maintaining accurate Accounts Receivable aging reports
• Managing the Accounts Payable process, including matching purchase orders, packing slips, and vendor invoices
• Maintaining vendor records and processing payment runs
• Maintaining Accounts Payable aging reports
• Assisting with general bookkeeping and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records
• Collaborating with internal departments while providing professional customer and vendor support

What You'll Bring

• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Bookkeeping is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
• Previous bookkeeping experience, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
• Experience with ERP or accounting software (Sage 300 experience is considered an asset)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Analytical problem-solving abilities and a high level of accuracy
• A positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
