We are currently recruiting for aPublic Bookkeeper to join our client’s team inBurnaby . This is afull-time, permanent position reporting directly to theOffice Manager and Bookkeeping Manager .

The ideal candidate will havestrong experience in public accounting and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality bookkeeping and accounting services to monthly clients.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum5 years of public accounting experience (mandatory)
  • At least3 years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • College diploma or university degree with a concentration inAccounting
  • Proficiency withMS Office ,QuickBooks (Online & Desktop) , andSage 50 / Simply Accounting
  • Strong knowledge ofpayroll and tax preparation , includingT4 and T5 slips , and tax compliance regulations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in afast-paced environment
  • Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working duringhigh-volume periods , including paid overtime during tax season
  • References and background check required upon further consideration

Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to theOffice Manager and Bookkeeping Manager
  • Performfull-cycle accounting for a diverse client base, including small and medium-sized businesses
  • Communicate with clients to ensure their bookkeeping and accounting needs are met
  • Build and maintain strong professional client relationships
  • Accurately process and maintain financial records
  • Provide client support and training onSage 50 and QuickBooks (Online & Desktop) as required
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data professionally
  • Collaborate closely with internal team members and clients
  • Work paid overtime during peak periods, including tax season, to meet client demands
