Ipswich | 3 Days Onsite We're supporting a leading UK telecommunications organisation undergoing significant investment across its customer connectivity platform. We're looking for an experienced Broadband Test Engineer to join a specialist engineering team responsible for investigating and resolving complex issues across Home Hubs, Wi-Fi platforms and broadband customer equipment. This is a highly technical role focused on fault investigation, root cause analysis and defect resolution rather than traditional support.
Required Experience
Home Hub, gateway or broadband CPE troubleshooting TCP/IP networking Wi-Fi technologies and RF fundamentals Packet capture analysis Linux environments Python scripting FTTP and broadband technologies IPv4 / IPv6 Core dump and crash analysis Technical log analysis Root cause investigation

Responsibilities
Investigate complex customer-impacting technical issues Reproduce faults within laboratory environments Analyse logs, telemetry and packet captures Work with firmware development teams and suppliers Produce defect reports and technical evidence Validate fixes before live deployment Drive issues through to root cause resolution
