Broadcast Systems Engineer

In this role you will support QVC UK’s broadcast infrastructure and end-user systems from our Chiswick centre, ensuring reliable 24/7 operation. You will work closely with the UK Broadcast Engineering team to apply established standards and resolve complex incidents. You’ll help design, document and standardise broadcasting systems, while managing small to mid-size projects. This position offers hands-on technical ownership in a dynamic, live-production environment with a strong emphasis on uptime and collaboration.

- Provide root cause analysis of escalated and complex broadcasting incidents
- Share and apply broadcasting standards with the UK Broadcast Engineering team
- Manage and optimise system performance for 24x7x365 availability
- Develop and document standards and procedures for all broadcasting systems
- Manage small to medium scale broadcasting projects
- Provide system support for all broadcast systems (video routers, audio mixers, cameras, robotics, switchers, intercom, etc.)
- Engineering experience in a television broadcast environment
- Experience trouble-shooting related systems and reacting quickly to critical live-broadcast situations
- Experience with complex systems to component board level troubleshooting and state-of-the-art computer, server and broadcast equipment
- Systems design and installation experience is a plus
- CAD design experience is a plus
- Experience in corporate or broadcasting environments installing, monitoring and troubleshooting broadcast equipment is a plus
