BSA – Equities Trading Platform Digitization

Are you a data-driven Business Systems Analyst with experience supporting client-facing trading platforms?

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a BSA – Equities Trading Platform Digitization. This position involves supporting the digitization and enhancement of an equities trading platform, focusing on complex data analysis, system integrations, and improving client-facing workflows within a dynamic and evolving environment.

Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $27.39/hr

Responsibilities

• Analyze real-time and transactional data to understand data flow, linkage, and relationships across interconnected systems


• Investigate system-to-system data exchanges, fields, attributes, and lineage to ensure data integrity and accuracy


• Support external client-facing transactional applications, portals, and digital platforms, ensuring seamless user interactions


• Collaborate with front office trading stakeholders to gather insights and translate business needs into technical specifications


• Work with data and technology teams to investigate, prototype, and validate data-driven workflows involving SQL and Python


• Understand and contribute to the system design by analyzing data dependencies, integration points, and downstream implications


• Assist in optimizing data management processes, including data transformation, movement, and system communication


• Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions


• Help bridge communication between trading teams and technical teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear business language

Desired Skill-Set

• Strong experience working with large volumes of real-time, transactional data, with a focus on data flow and system integration


• Demonstrated experience supporting external client-facing trading platforms or portals


• Advanced SQL skills for data investigation, querying, and validation


• Familiarity with Python for data analysis and processing


• Understanding of modern data platform concepts, including data architecture layers and system integration


• Experience with data transformation, movement, and BI/reporting tools


• Ability to understand complex systems, data structures, and workflows, and to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset


• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, especially with front office trading teams

Nice to Have

• Capital markets, equities, or electronic trading experience


• Brokerage platform background


• Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks


• Familiarity with Medallion architecture


• Exposure to AI-enabled workflows or knowledge agents


• BI or dashboard integration experience


• Prior experience supporting client-facing trading applications or portals
