Business Analyst (Data Science) - Tech Consultancy - Defence & Security

As a Business Analyst (AI) in Deloitte’s Data Science and Machine Learning team, you translate client needs into data-driven AI solutions. You’ll work with stakeholders to define opportunities, requirements, and measurable outcomes for data science products in the Defence and Security domain. You’ll apply data science, ML, and AI techniques to deliver actionable insights and promote adoption of developed tools. The role integrates lifecycle delivery in an agile environment, shaping propositions and supporting bid work to drive real-world impact.

• Research and develop innovative data-driven solutions with real-world impact
• Pioneer new techniques and technologies in AI and data science
• Participate across the lifecycle from requirements capture to scaling live services
• Apply data science, ML and AI creatively to solve complex problems

• Experience in identifying, analysing, prioritising and validating business and user requirements for data and data science products and services
• Experience in options analyses, feasibility assessments, impact assessments, and value estimations for business cases
• Experience in selecting optimal processes or delivery methods for data and data science capabilities, including outcome measurement
• Hands-on experience applying data science or machine learning in Defence/Security, broader public sector, or academia
• Strong communication skills for accessible reports and presentations to diverse audiences
• Ability to communicate complex business problems with technical and non-technical stakeholders
