Business Applications Manager

In this senior role, you will oversee a portfolio of enterprise applications, directing architecture, deployment, and ongoing enhancement. You report to the Director of Enterprise Applications and lead development work, coordinating internal and vendor-led teams to meet business goals. You ensure application availability, performance, and controlled change management while aligning solutions with IT and business strategy. You will be the primary point of contact for business and vendor partners, driving stakeholder satisfaction. • Provide leadership and manage the work activities of direct reports in application development
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to plan, prioritise, and schedule development requests; guide development staff
• Own availability and performance of applications, including incident management and release management
• Drive stakeholder satisfaction by delivering quality applications and controlled change
• Track and report project status to management
• Ensure proposed solutions align with IT strategy, business strategy and security architectures
• Provide oversight to ensure standards through project reviews including technical specifications
• Manage relationships with vendors/consultants, IT teams and internal stakeholders
• Maintain a hands-on technical interest while performing team leadership duties
• Direct and evaluate feasibility studies, project scoping and planning for business application projects

• Expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design and development
• Experience in ERP or CRM environments; Workday and Salesforce experience a plus
• Experience in a management or supervisory role on an application delivery team
• Excellent communication skills
