As a Business Architect, you will shape the architecture of the Digital & IT function within a major nuclear project and steer operating models from concept to implementation. You will work with senior stakeholders to align requirements with strategy, evaluate solution options, and articulate tangible benefits. Your role spans early project definition, governance-aligned delivery, and supporting business adoption of new processes and systems. You will apply emerging trends to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliant, value-driven outcomes. - Lead engagements with business stakeholders to define project concepts, scope, impacts, and early risk management
- Capture and prioritize business requirements with senior management alignment to strategy
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and evaluate solution options
- Prepare robust business cases and investment proposals highlighting benefits and value opportunities
- Act as custodian of business requirements through the project lifecycle and ensure alignment with outcomes
- Apply best practices and innovative solutions to improve business operations
- Support business acceptance of new processes and systems, including walkthroughs and testing
- Ensure projects adhere to delivery assurance principles and governance standards
- Experience in business architecture disciplines (process management, business analysis, management information, or IT system development)
- Proven ability to deliver architecture solutions that improve operational efficiency
- Familiarity with ONR licence conditions and cyber/nuclear security requirements for IT-enabled change
- Experience with formal project management approaches (e.g., PRINCE2, EDF Project Way) and tools
- Experience in procurement activities (RFI, ITT) and evaluation processes
- Proven track record in developing investment cases for large, complex programmes
- Advanced stakeholder management and facilitation with senior levels
- Strong collaboration and influence across cross-functional teams
- Analytical mindset with ability to challenge and prioritise
- Business architecture change in complex environments
- Business process analysis and design, modelling and collaboration tools
- Knowledge of architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices
