Business Automation Manager Python SQL

Lead business automation with Python and SQL at Sun Life, working in a hybrid model from Toronto or Waterloo. Build governed solutions that improve business outcomes.

As Manager, Business Automation, you will lead automation intake, delivery, sustainment, and team performance within Sun Life Global Investments. The Strategic Analytics and Innovation team needs a working-level people leader who translates business needs into requirements, manages technical feasibility, and supports reliable delivery. You will use Power Automate, Microsoft 365, AWS, and approved AI tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage automation intake, prioritization, and backlog delivery
• Translate business problems into build-ready requirements
• Guide Automation Analyst work and technical quality
• Support development, testing, deployment, and sustainment
• Track adoption, value, risks, and stakeholder outcomes

Requirements:

• Six to ten years in automation or solutions delivery
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, Power Automate, Microsoft 365, and AWS
• Strong stakeholder management and people leadership skills
• Senior-level problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and influence
• University degree or equivalent experience
