Business Automation Manager Python SQL

Lead business automation at Sun Life Global Investments using Python, SQL, and hybrid work to deliver governed solutions across business functions.

The Manager, Business Automation is a working-level people leader on the Strategic Analytics and Innovation team. You will manage automation intake, delivery, sustainment, and team performance. The role translates business needs into build-ready requirements while ensuring solutions remain reliable, documented, adopted, and aligned with governance. It also supports development across Power Automate, Microsoft 365, AWS, and approved AI tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Run automation intake, triage, prioritization, and backlog management
• Translate business problems into approved, build-ready requirements
• Set direction, assign work, and review analyst output
• Support development, testing, deployment, and sustainment
• Track time savings, expenses, reliability, and risk reduction

Requirements:

• Six to ten years in automation, workflow, analysis, or delivery
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, Power Automate, Microsoft 365, and AWS
• Strong stakeholder management and influence across business partners
• People leadership skills supporting accountability and results
• Degree in technology, business analysis, or related field
