6-month contract Business Intelligence Analyst role designing advanced Power BI solutions and analytical data products within a complex public‑sector environment.

What & Why:

Our client is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to provide hands‑on BI support across strategic data initiatives, translating complex datasets into actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and KPIs. This delivery‑focused role spans requirements gathering, data analysis, data product design, visualization development, and stakeholder‑facing insight communication. You'll work closely with the Manager, Analytics Capability Centre, and collaborate directly with internal and external clients to understand their analytical needs and deliver trusted, high‑quality BI solutions.

Who:

This team is responsible for designing and delivering analytical data products and services that enable the organization to better leverage its data assets in support of a broader data strategy. The environment is Power BI‑centric with Azure analytics tooling, and the team operates in a collaborative, multi‑vendor model engaging directly with internal clients and external stakeholders across a broad range of data and analytics initiatives.

You:

You’ll bring the following experience and capabilities:

• 5+ years of direct, hands‑on experience designing, developing, and optimizing advanced Power BI solutions for complex and regulated datasets.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with a comprehensive set of Power BI visualization techniques demonstrating both technical depth and storytelling skill.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience analyzing large complex datasets for trend analysis, predictive analytics, and forecasting using Power BI and Azure analytics tools.
• 5+ years of experience presenting and communicating data‑driven insights to executives and business users in a government context.
• 5+ years of experience understanding and developing requirements for analytical projects.

Compensation:

This role pays $80-90 per hour.
