Business Intelligence Developer Power BI

Develop Power BI analytics solutions for Nova Scotia Community College in Halifax, working in person with business stakeholders and technology teams.

As an entry-level Business Analytics Developer, you will support the Business Analytics Team within the Office of Learning and Transformation. You will analyze reporting requirements, develop prototypes, and help design dashboards, reports, and data warehouse solutions. Your work will support Academic Operations and Planning, Institutional Research, Finance, and HR.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze reporting and dashboard business requirements
• Develop report and dashboard prototypes using reporting tools
• Contribute to data warehouse data model design
• Design reports, dashboards, and report security solutions
• Provide production support for reports and dashboards

Requirements:

• Relevant university degree or college diploma
• Experience developing analytics solutions with Microsoft Power BI
• Understanding of IT system development methodologies
• Understanding of business analysis activities
• Strong relational database and SQL understanding considered an asset
