Business Intelligence Engineer Ottawa

Engineer operational intelligence at Hydro Ottawa using complex data analysis and performance dashboards in a position-specific hybrid work model. Support Distribution operations in Ottawa, Ontario.

The Operations Business Intelligence Engineer develops and maintains business performance measures for Hydro Ottawa’s Distribution division. This role analyzes operational and financial data, recommends process improvements, and supports performance management. Work includes reporting, dashboard development, data governance, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and document operational program performance with internal stakeholders
• Integrate and analyze enterprise data from multiple source systems
• Recommend processes improving efficiency, quality, productivity, and safety
• Develop Distribution performance management and reporting frameworks
• Design and maintain dashboards enabling self-serve analytics

Requirements:

• Undergraduate Engineering degree from an accredited university
• Professional Engineer licensed or licensable in Ontario
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau dashboarding software
• Experience documenting processes or writing business cases
• Strong computer skills and English communication abilities
