Business Intelligence Lead

In this role you lead the Business Intelligence (BI) team within the Communities and Citizens Service Area to drive evidence-based decision making across the Council. You will collaborate with senior leaders and cross-organisational stakeholders, ensuring insights from diverse data sources inform priorities and plans, including during the Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) transition. You shape the BI function and capabilities to support strategic delivery and impact at scale. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the largest changes in local government in a generation.

- Lead and manage the BI team and its delivery of data and insight
- partner with senior stakeholders to embed evidence-based decision making
- analyse and report data from multiple sources (public consultation, Census-type data, customer data)
- support the Council through the LGR transition and current priorities
- develop BI capabilities and governance across the Council and with cross-border leads
- drive research projects, ensuring robust evidence and clear communication of findings
- collaborate with BI leads and analysts across Oxfordshire and West Berkshire
- present insights to policymakers and contribute to strategic decision making
- experience in managing and delivering research projects
