Job Description

Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst with our client in Toronto, Canada.

Our client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support a trading application, with a strong focus on trading processes and technical analysis. The ideal candidate has solid communication and analytical skills, basic SQL knowledge, and an understanding of APIs and API testing. Trading domain experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements for trading applications.
• Work closely with business users, developers, and QA teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Support API analysis and testing, including understanding API requests, responses, and integrations.
• Perform basic SQL queries to investigate data and support analysis.
• Document requirements, processes, and technical details using JIRA and Confluence.
• Participate in testing, defect investigation, and troubleshooting.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements and actionable stories for development teams.
• Support day-to-day enhancements and issue resolution for the trading platform.

Preferred Qualifications

• Business Systems Analyst experience, preferably in financial services or trading.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Understanding of REST APIs and how APIs work.
• Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman.
• Trading domain knowledge is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working with JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

The base hourly range for this contract position is $50-$80 per hour, depending on experience.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
