Overview

As AVP in Blackstone’s Liquid Credit Technology group, you will help build and scale fixed-income front-office systems. You’ll work within a microservices, cloud-native stack to support portfolio managers and traders, driving reliability and efficiency. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver critical technology that underpins liquid credit strategies at a global, fast-paced firm. This is a hands-on role with mentoring opportunities and a chance to shape core trading tech.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain scalable, secure applications using cloud-native technologies
  • Develop and integrate web apps, microservices, and data pipelines across platforms
  • Write automated unit, integration, and deployment tests
  • Leverage CI/CD tooling (GitLab Runners) for deployments
  • Participate in technical design, code reviews, and agile ceremonies
  • Provide technical support, automate repetitive tasks, and stay current with tech trends
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative team culture
  • Contribute to project delivery using JIRA and agile methodologies
Key requirements
  • 3+ years of software development experience in the role's relevant industry
  • Proficiency in C#, JavaScript (React/Angular), TypeScript, relational and/or NoSQL databases
  • Cloud technologies with a preference for AWS; RESTful API design; scalable microservice architectures
  • Strong object-oriented programming background and problem-solving/communication skills
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial attitude; able to mentor others in a fast-paced team
  • Experience with automated testing approaches and performance testing
  • Experience with fixed-income front-office trading systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
