Build reliable backend systems with C# and microservices for OpenTable For Restaurants, supporting reservation availability and real-time restaurant operations.

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will develop and maintain core systems at large scale. Your work covers product development, infrastructure upgrades, database schemas, and reservation data synchronization. The team practices continuous delivery, trunk-based development, code review, pair programming, and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write readable, maintainable, well-tested C# code
  • Design and maintain database schemas, including MongoDB
  • Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot microservices
  • Maintain reliability for reservation and availability systems
  • Communicate technical trade-offs clearly

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in C#
  • Two or more years of professional software development experience
  • Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
  • Experience with object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Experience with microservices and concurrent programming
