Overview
In this role you will build next-generation trading systems for a London-based algo trading business. You will work in a small, high-performing team to influence technology choices and contribute to high-throughput, low-latency infrastructure. Expect exposure to trading data flows and a fast-paced fintech environment with meaningful impact on traders and the bottom line. This is a unique chance to shape trading infrastructure within a growing, autonomous culture.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain C# and C++ trading systems with a focus on high throughput
- Work on messaging and high-transaction-volume components
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams and apply Test Driven Development (TDD) using NUnit or equivalents
- Engage with data flows from Bloomberg and other trading infrastructure
- Contribute to OO development, server-side coding, and noSQL data stores
- Influence technology choices and work with cross-functional stakeholders
- Support the growth phase of the trading business and solve performance challenges
- Computer Science degree from a top-tier UK university
- 5 years of commercial software development experience
- Proficiency in C# and C++
- Experience with messaging or high transaction volume systems
- Strong multithreading capabilities
- Experience in financial technology or trading tech (preferred)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments
- TDD experience with NUnit or equivalent
- NoSQL experience
- SQL (SQL Server 2008) experience
