Overview
In this role you will design, integrate and optimise C/C++ software for 5G NR PHY, addressing performance and reliability in a demanding technical environment. You will collaborate with hardware, architecture and system-test teams to tackle complex performance challenges. The position offers hands-on work on high‑performance, multithreaded software and opportunities to influence cross-functional engineering decisions. Responsibilities- Develop C/C++ software to run and test 5G NR PHY algorithms
- Improve software performance via optimisation and multithreading
- Integrate software components and resolve complex technical issues
- Develop and maintain automated testing and CI processes
- Collaborate with hardware, architecture and system-test teams
- Support interoperability testing with customers, vendors and operators
- Contribute to technical reviews and broader software engineering decisions
- Strong commercial experience developing software in C or C++
- Solid software engineering fundamentals
- Experience with multithreaded or high-performance software
- An interest in solving complex performance and optimisation challenges
- Collaborative mindset

- Ability to communicate across engineering disciplines
- SIMD or hardware acceleration (desirable)
- Understanding of signal processing (desirable)
- Exposure to 5G, O-RAN or fronthaul protocols such as eCPRI (desirable)
