C# Developer .Net Core

In this senior, hands-on role you will lead backend work for a major rebuild of an international payments platform. You’ll own API design, backend services, and architecture evolution within a small autonomous team. Expect to design scalable C# .Net Core solutions, optimise SQL, and operate in cloud environments (AWS) while mentoring peers. You’ll also leverage AI coding tools to boost productivity and contribute to best practices. This role offers meaningful technical ownership and impactful, scalable solutions.

• Design and implement robust, scalable APIs and backend services using C# .Net Core
• Lead delivery of new capabilities and contribute to architecture evolution
• Design and optimise SQL databases and queries
• Maintain high standards of automated testing
• Work with AWS and other cloud platforms in production
• Mentor other engineers and share technical knowledge
• Utilise AI development tools to improve engineering productivity

• Strong C# .Net Core backend development experience
• Experience building production APIs
• Good SQL skills
• System design, software architecture, microservices and event-driven systems
• Cloud infrastructure experience in production; AWS preferred
• Experience mentoring engineers
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude or Copilot
• Finance / payments experience desirable but not essential
