Overview

In this role you will design and build high-performance front-office applications for Global Markets, partnering with sales and trading teams to deliver value-driven solutions. You will contribute across the full SDLC, developing scalable RESTful APIs and modern UIs with React. The role sits in a distributed agile setup, focusing on real-time systems and production support to ensure stable, impactful trading tools. You will shape front-office platforms and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive execution and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain front-office applications, components and utilities
  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support)
  • Build and deliver high-performance, scalable applications
  • Develop RESTful APIs and modern UI applications using React
  • Engage directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver value-driven solutions
  • Collaborate with production support teams to ensure smooth releases and system stability
  • Provide third-line support and assist with troubleshooting production incidents
  • Contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Key requirements
  • Strong development experience in C# & REACT
  • Experience building web-based applications and RESTful APIs
  • Solid experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React
  • Strong understanding of application performance and optimisation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working in agile, collaborative environments
  • Experience within investment banking or capital markets environments
  • Knowledge of front office systems (FX, Rates, Credit, or derivatives)
  • Experience with multi-threaded or distributed systems
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity) and deployment tools (e.g. Ansible)
